EnaZeda is an autonomous, intersectional feminist movement that fights to end sexual violence and dismantle patriarchy in Tunisia. Born on October 15, 2019, from the collective power of independent feminist activists, EnaZeda is the Tunisian echo of the global #MeToo movement — an act of resistance against the normalization of abuse and the culture of silence. We exist to break the silence, challenge the systems that protect abusers and rapists, and demand justice and accountability across all spaces — in families, institutions, workplaces, and beyond. The movement ignited after a sexual harassment scandal involving an elected Member of Parliament who was filmed exposing himself and masturbating outside a high school.
As the video spread online, survivors and allies refused to let the story fade into silence. We refused to let yet another man in power walk away untouched. We refused to let survivors carry a shame that was never theirs. Thousands of women and allies broke the silence, flooding social media with their stories under the hashtag #EnaZed (meaning “Me too” in Tunisian Arabic). What followed was not just a wave of testimonies — it was a collective uprising against a system built on shame, denial, and impunity. EnaZeda became a reckoning.

We are committed to protecting the confidentiality, dignity, and autonomy of all who reach out to us. Survivors can choose to remain anonymous, and all data is handled with strict care and security. Our internal ethics always put survivors’ safety first — informed consent guides every action we take.
💜 Survivor-Centered Feminism
At EnaZeda, survivors come first. Their voices shape our movement, our priorities, and our politics. We believe that healing is political, and so is feminism — because both confront systems that protect abusers and silence survivors. Every testimony is an act of resistance and a demand for justice.
🌈 Intersectionality & Solidarity
We stand against all forms of oppression — sexism, racism, classism, ableism, queerphobia, transphobia, xenophobia, colonialism, and other systems of domination. Our collective evolves continuously through feminist solidarity, care, and shared learning. No one is free until everyone is.
🕊️ Care & Accountability
We practice care as resistance. All EnaZeda volunteers are trained in gender-based violence prevention, universal human rights, intersectional feminism, and trauma-informed ethical practices. We hold ourselves accountable to the communities we serve, to each other, and to the feminist values that define our work.
⚖️ Independence & Transparency
EnaZeda is an autonomous feminist movement. We believe that feminism is inherently political — it challenges power, patriarchy, and injustice — but we are not affiliated with any political party, organization or institution. We operate with transparency in our actions, communications, and decisions, because accountability begins with us.
OUR COLLECTIVE FORCE
Enazeda is a volunteer-based movement. We are not funded or controlled by any political party, organization, or NGO — and we intend to keep it that way. Our independence allows us to:

• Stay grounded in radical, intersectional feminist values
We recognize that sexual violence is never isolated. It is rooted in and reinforced by racism, classism, ableism, ageism, queerphobia, transphobia, xenophobia, misogyny, colonialism, capitalism, religious fundamentalism and other forms of systemic oppression. In a world where violence is normalized, where rape culture shapes daily life, where survivors are shamed and abusers are shielded by power, privilege, and silence — EnaZeda is not just a reaction. It is a movement for transformation, a fight for a future where dignity, justice, and accountability are not exceptions, but the rule.
